By accessing or using FamilyPilot ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.
2. Description of Service
FamilyPilot is a mobile application designed to help separated or divorced parents communicate effectively and coordinate co-parenting responsibilities. The App provides features including but not limited to:
- Secure messaging between co-parents
- Shared calendar for schedules and events
- Audio and video calling
- Child profile management
- Document and photo sharing
- Communication export capabilities
3. Account Registration
To use FamilyPilot, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use FamilyPilot only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, or offensive
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems
- Use the App to violate any court orders or custody agreements
- Share account credentials with third parties
5. Content
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create or upload to FamilyPilot. By submitting content, you grant us a licence to use, store, and display that content as necessary to provide the service.
Content Standards
All content must comply with applicable laws and these Terms. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
FamilyPilot offers both free and premium subscription plans. Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
- You can cancel at any time through your App Store settings
- Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies
- We reserve the right to change pricing with notice
7. Privacy
Your use of FamilyPilot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices.
8. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by FamilyPilot and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App without our express written permission.
9. Disclaimers
FamilyPilot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:
- The App will be available at all times
- The App will be error-free or secure
- Any information provided is accurate or complete
FamilyPilot is not a substitute for legal advice. We do not provide legal, mediation, or counselling services. For legal matters, please consult qualified professionals.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FamilyPilot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of data or content
- Loss of profits or business opportunities
- Personal injury or property damage
- Any damages arising from your use of the App
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FamilyPilot, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe:
- Violates these Terms
- Is harmful to other users or the App
- Is otherwise inappropriate
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through the App settings.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
